Who Is MYTRO? Meet SM Entertainment's New Trot Idol Boy Group 

Ahead of MYTRO's debut, its official members have been unveiled, and one of them is a pre-debut member of NCT!

On Sept. 13th, SM Entertainment officially introduced its new trot-centered idol boy group, MYTRO.

Starting with an introduction film and profile photos, the faces and names of the members were finally unveiled. Although the company has yet to release more information about them, here are all the details that we collected, so far.

MYTRO, pronounced as "my•tro" is a quintet formed by SM in collaboration with YamYam Entertainment and TV Chosun. Its group name stands for "My Trot Revolution Odyssey."

The group was formed through a reality program, "Falling for a trot-dol: Lovestruck Noonas" which will be aired in October. 

Unlike other groups formed through a show, this act will showcase the blend of trot and K-pop, flaunting vocals like trot singers and dance-like idols. 

Here are 5 Members of MYTRO:

Tey

Born in 1992, Han Ji Hyun, also known as Tey is the leader and oldest member of the quintet. Prior to becoming a trot idol, he was a former member of the K-pop group Mr.Mr from 2012 to 2018. He also debuted as a soloist in 2015, and later on joined the trot realm after joining "Mr. Trot 2" in 2020. 

Jung Yoonjae

Yoonjae is a 93-liner actor who worked on notable projects like "Missing: The Other Side 2" and "Boyhood." MYTRO will be his entry into the music and dance industry. 

Shohei

Shohei, a Japanese born in '96 is the only foreign member of the group. Prior to becoming trot-dol, he was a SMROOKIES who almost joined NCT Wish, the last sub-unit of NCT. However, due to health reasons, he eventually left the pre-debut group New Team. 

Lim Chaepyoung

Shohei, a 97-liner initially made his name known as a YouTuber and contestant of "Mr. Trot 2"

Seo Woohyeok 

The youngest of the team is Woohyeok, born in 1998. Before dreaming of becoming a singer, he graduated as an acting major student and made his first TV appearances in "The Glory" and "Death's Game."
